Radiolocation and Channel Sounding

The four-member student group of the Department of Electrical Engineering under the guidance of Profs G. Kalyvas and S Koulouridis participated with great success in the design competition organized by the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society and its final phase took place in Boston, July 8-13, during the International Conference, 2018 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propennas and USNC-URSI Radio Science Meeting (https://2018apsursi.org/). The competition was on the design and construction of a  system for locating a hidden source of radio signal coded with noise.

Evangelou George, Eleni Kaliva, Fokaeos Maria and Hassis Christos first designed and built the system and then traveled to Boston for the final presentation where they took 4th place.

The international scope of the conference is reflected in the participation of 1,500 delegates from around the world this year. It is the main and central conference of the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society.

Project proposal was also supported by a 5-min video
